WHO WE ARE

Bruno Selva approached the world of music at a young age by undertaking the study of the trumpet under the guidance of Maestro Marchi Domenico.
During the year of compulsory military service he is aggregated to the Fanfare Orobica of which he is the first solo trumpet. With the Fanfare Orobica he performs in concerts and parades throughout Italy and has the opportunity to further improve with Maestro Califano.
After his military experience he continued to play in the Musical Corps of Loveno as first solo trumpet. In those years he also occasionally played with other musical ensembles in the area. With Maestro Pietro Meroni he takes his first steps towards the study of conducting. His passion for conducting will blossom during an Anbima internship under the direction of Maestro Pietro Damiani. With Maestro Damiani he will continue his conducting studies for another 5 years at the Scuola della Civica Filarmonica in Lugano.
In 1988 he took over from Maestro Pietro Meroni as director of the Musical Body of Loveno. From the outset he set out to take care of and improve the group's performances from a qualitative point of view. Thanks to his support, and the careful collaboration of the board of directors and a group of professors, the Student School of the Musical Body was perfected, with the aim of bringing an ever-increasing number of young people and adults closer to the world of music.
Under the direction of Bruno Selva, the Musical Body of Loveno has, among others, participated and achieved the 2nd place in the regional competition "Bande in Pedana 2000".
Maestro Bruno Selva thanks all the musicians of the Musical Body of Loveno who, with their availability and dedication, have allowed the Musical Body to reach excellent executive levels through continuous improvement.
